Parent organizations are knowledgeable about school asbestos situations

Local, state, and national parent and teacher organizations are other good sources of information about asbestos in schools.

Many of these groups worked with EPA in developing the AHERA schools rule, and some have started their own educational efforts to improve understanding of the AHERA requirements and proper asbestos control practices.
