In recent news, a 77-year-old man who suffered from lung cancer as a result of his longtime plumbing work and died from complications from the disease.He and wife had six children. The family lived in several areas, including San Francisco and the East Bay.
He was a member of the United Association of Plumbers, Pipefitters and Journeymen, San Francisco Local 38 for 59 years.
He owned plumbing businesses in several towns and worked for the city and county of San Francisco as a plumbing inspector.
According to his wife, “He enjoyed the home service end of plumbing. His favorite thing was to go in and be the troubleshooter — things that nobody else could fix. He was a master plumber.”
