Answer the following three questions and fill out the form below. A legal expert will review your claim within 48 hours.
Question 1: Do you live near an industrial polluter?
In order for you to have a property damage lawsuit, your property must have been contaminated by some type of chemical or other pollutant. Generally, people who live 5 miles or less from a polluter are most likely to have property damage resulting from pollution, but some pollutants can cause damage more than 100 miles from their point of origin.
Question 2: Are there any signs of damage caused by pollution on your property or in your community?
Toxic industrial pollution most frequently affects ground water and soil, but can be airborne as well. Families whose wells are contaminated can't drink their water. Lawns and gardens planted in contaminated ground soil fail and die. Children may have rashes or other serious health problems. If you think something is wrong with your property, ask your neighbors. Chances are, they've noticed something is wrong, too. Property damage cases can be much stronger when a community fights back together.
Question 3: Have you had your property tested for pollutants?
In order for Weitz & Luxenberg to file a claim on your behalf, we need as much specific information as possible about your property damage. You can contact your state's Department of Health to find out about getting your air, soil and water tested for pollutants. If your property has already tested positive for pollutants, retain whatever documents you have noting the nature and severity of the pollution. If you live near a company and they ask you to sign a waiver or offer to buy your property, let us know immediately. You should also get in touch with us as soon as possible if a state regulatory agency comes to conduct tests on your property. Waivers, offers to buy property, and unsolicited tests on your property are all red flags that something may be wrong.
