Provides Support to Lesbians With Cancer


Mary-Helen Mautner Project is dedicated to improving the health of lesbians, bisexual, and transgender people with cancer through advocacy, education, research and direct service.

According to the organization's Web site, the organization envisions "a healthcare system that is guided by social justice and responsive to the needs of all people."

Among the services the Mautner Project offers are transportation to and from treatment; health education; and smoking cessation programs.
