New York asbestos-lab owner draws prison sentence

Timothy Carroll, 44, of Albany, N.Y., was sentenced to 26 months in prison, followed by two years of supervised release and 200 hours of community service. He was directed to pay $22.8 million in restitution to victims.

Carroll pled guilty to a conspiracy to violate the Clean Air Act and to commit mail fraud. Carroll was the public owner of Analytical Laboratories of Albany (ALA).
