Bipolar Depression and Seroquel
Please note: Weitz & Luxenberg is providing information about Seroquel and a number of physical and mental health-related side effects, including bipolar depression, that may have been linked to the use of Seroquel.
However, our Seroquel attorneys are only considering cases in which a child or adult aged25 or younger was prescribed Seroquel and developed Type 2 diabetes.
Seroquel is commonly used as a treatment for bipolar depression. The U.S. Food and Drug Administratino (FDA) defines bipolar depression and bipolar disorder as "a mental illness that causes extreme mood swings." While Seroquel is used to treat the symptoms of bipolar depression, it has also been linked to serious health problems such as diabetes.
Weitz & Luxenberg is looking into what AstraZeneca knew about Seroquel's link to diabetic conditions and when they knew it. Additionally, the firm is investigating if AstraZeneca failed to tell the FDA and Seroquel users about its potential dangers in a timely fashion.
