Seroquel & Zoloft

Seroquel and Zoloft can both be used for treatment of depression.

Zoloft is prescribed for most kinds of depression, but Seroquel is only approved for bipolar depression.

Recently, Zoloft has been found to cause persistent pulmonary hypertension in new-borns if the mother took the mediation in the last few months of pregnancy. You can read more about the dangers of Zoloft and other similar drugs in our SSRI lawsuit center.

IN THE NEWS
Health Canada is advising women who are taking antidepressants known as Selective Serotonin Re-uptake Inhibitors (SSRI) and who are pregnant or intend to become pregnant to discuss the situation with their doctor due to potential risks to the baby.

Seroquel is also associated with dangerous side effects of its own. These include diabetes, hypoglycemia, and pancreatitis.

Weitz & Luxenberg is no longer accepting Seroquel cases.
