Soil Gas Vapor Can Pass Through Concrete -
Keep You Air Clean

Moisture from the pesticide will pass through your homes concrete floor (slab) just like a straw because concrete is naturally porous (12 to 18% air) and lets water liquid or vapor gas through. Home floor slabs are by far the largest source of humidity in homes, which promotes allergy-causing molds, mildew, and dust mites. Indoor air quality has become an urgent child health issue in homes and schools.

Concrete breathes and ages, becoming more porous and over time leaks more water and vapors/gases. The older the home/building the more moisture and vapors can come through.

Today's buildings let in only a little fresh air and draw more soil gas vapors from the earth. Pores in concrete draw in water by capillary action. The average slab lets in over 2 gallons of water each day!
