Read below to see if you may be at risk for exposure to asbestos. The following is a list of individuals at stronger danger of developing an asbestos-related disease:
- Individuals with breathing problems
- Anyone with ongoing exposure to asbestos
- Individuals who think they have had protracted exposure to asbestos
- Immediate family members of individuals who have worked in asbestos-related environments, even if the person who worked with asbestos has no noticeable symptoms or difficulty breathing
It is a necessity to get tested if you presume that you have been exposed to asbestos. The usual mode of testing is an x-ray (side and front view of your chest.) Supplementary tests may include a pulmonary function test, blood work, a CT scan and/or biopsy. At times, medical professionals may speak a language that is baffling to the typical patient. If you are confused, you can ask your physician about your health problem. If you don't totally grasp your doctor, ask her to clarify so you can better understand. All men and women who have participated in the U.S. Armed Forces should receive the services they deserve. Weitz & Luxenberg is committed to making this happen. This includes compensation for life-threatening diseases that are caused by exposure to asbestos, such as lung cancer.
Surviving with asbestos-related diseases can be trying. Weitz & Luxenberg can help ease some of the distress by providing you with a free case evaluation. Your first step is to fill out the form below.
