Weitz & Luxenberg is no longer accepting Stryker Hip Implant Cases
Implant patients discuss Stryker ceramic hips that squeak and interfere with
daily life.
Until medical supply company Stryker began
marketing ceramic hips in the United States, squeaking of artificial implants was
extremely rare, reported the New York Times in an article on May 11,
2008.
The artificial hips made of ceramic materials have been promoted as more
durable than older models.
However, many of them squeak, and that noise
raises questions about whether there are more serious malfunctions inherent to
those implants.
The Times article cited one study from the
Journal of Anthroplasty, which found that 10 patients of 143 who received
ceramic hips from 2003 to 2005, developed squeaking.
