Webster Street in Dayton, OH Named TCE Contamination Source
February 9, 2007
Environmental testing in the Dayton, Ohio area has revealed that TCE is the cause of the toxic fumes that are seeping into local homes.
More than 10 years ago, the former DaimlerChrysler plant, now known as the Behr-Thermal Products plant, located on Webster Street, was dumping the toxin down local drains. Now, many years after the dangerous substance first started seeping into the soil, local residents are learning of the effects of the TCE.
The Environmental Protection Agency is working with residents on a clean-up effort, hoping to avoid some of the serious health risks TCE can pose.
