The Tequin antobiotic, a quinolone prescribed to treat pneumonia and other
respiratory conditions, has been removed from the market as of May 1,
2006.
Antibiotics such as Tequin are used to stop the reproduction of
bacterial cells.
This drug has been shown to cause the onset of diabetes,
kidney failure and muscle damage.
