In June 2004, the Toyota automaker and the National Hightway Traffic Safety Administration officials discussed the fact that Toyota Camrys with new electronic throttles had 400 percent more complaints regarding "vehicle speed," according to a New York Times article on February 23, 2010.
The article points out that according to government investigators, Toyota could have seen from its database of consumer calls that floor mats and sticky pedals didn't explain all the reports of unintended acceleration in its vehicles.
It seems Toyota may have had serious quality control issues for many years that went uresolved leading up to the massive recalls of its vehicles from 2009 and 2010.
Our attorneys believe Toyota should be held accountable for any injuries that could have been avoided if proper procedure had been followed.
