Tests for asbestos exposure should be administered to people who fit the description below. The following is a list of individuals at increased threat of developing an asbestos-related disease:
- Individuals with breathing problems
- Those with extended exposure to asbestos
- People who think they have had protracted exposure to asbestos
- Immediate family members of people who have worked in asbestos-related fields, even if the person who worked with asbestos has no evident exposure signs or irregular breathing patterns
It is important that the initial testing is an x-ray (side and front view of your chest.) Further tests may include a pulmonary function test, blood work, a CT scan and/or biopsy.
If you or someone you love has developed mesothelioma after exposure to asbestos, we want to help. Complete the form on this page for a free case evaluation.
