Report: Welder with mesothelioma cancer worked in clouds of asbestos dust. Our attorneys can help you file a claim to seek compensation for your health concerns.
In recent news, an ex-welder with cancer had worked in power stations in the United States and recalls "crawling around in asbestos dust."
The welder said he had been constantly exposed to asbestos, even though he never handled it himself.
Unfortunately, he developed malignant mesothelioma, a form of cancer linked with exposure to the toxic material.
The welder remembers his exposure to asbestos. "There was considerable exposure – my overalls were simply covered in dust.
"Because of the nature of my work," he added, "I was lying and crawling around in asbestos dust."
The welder said he had been provided with a helmet and boots but no masks or facial protection.
His son said his father had still been in work up until he was diagnosed with mesothelioma cancer.
He said: "There were long stretches of time where he would have been exposed on a daily basis. He was not always at power stations but that was the majority of his work."
