I truly feel fortunate helping people who are suffering from asbestos diseases. From initial client interviews to conducting the exhaustive research into the sources of each person’s asbestos exposures, and from preparing for trial to going into the courtroom to seek justice itself, I enjoy every aspect of the work I do at Weitz & Luxenberg. In fact, this is the only law firm I am aware of that has the extensive staff and experience to aggressively represent people suffering from mesothelioma, asbestos lung cancer, asbestosis and other asbestos-related conditions.
Owing to the strong bonds of family that exist at Weitz & Luxenberg, a remarkable number of attorneys and support staff choose to stay with the firm for many, many years. It is also why some who do eventually leave so happily return.
Mark G. Strauss started with Weitz & Luxenberg in 1989. Four years later, he was called away to work on a class action lawsuit on behalf of a large number of mesothelioma victims. This legal battle was fought all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court and ended with a substantial settlement in 1997. His work on the class action completed, Mr. Strauss then went on to co-found a law firm that achieved national prominence by representing mesothelioma patients. Mr. Strauss returned to Weitz & Luxenberg in 2015.
Mr. Strauss began the practice of law after completing law school in 1987. He holds a juris doctor degree from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law. Six years earlier, from the same university, Mr. Strauss earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration.
Mr. Strauss is admitted to practice law in five states and the District of Columbia.
He devotes time to supporting AHRC New York City, a nonprofit organization that offers help and hope to approximately 15,000 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In his spare time, Mr. Strauss helps burnish the star-status of hip-hop artist Rev. Run and country rocker Gregg Allman by lending a hand with the musicians’ marketing and promotional efforts. Mr. Strauss is a devoted father of two.
Mark G. Strauss will be happy to review your case.
