Perrin Conferences has named Weitz & Luxenberg Co-Founder Perry Weitz as co-chair of its sixth annual New York Asbestos Litigation Conference on December 6.
Mr. Weitz joins in deliver the Welcome and Opening Remarks, and co-moderates a panel featuring “The Judges Perspective” during the daylong gathering at The Roosevelt Hotel in Manhattan.
This sixth annual event brings together professionals from New York and around the nation for a series of balanced presentations on the latest developments in asbestos litigation. It features the wide-ranging perspectives of plaintiffs’ and defense attorneys, judges, insurance professionals and in-house counsel working in all facets and on all sides of asbestos cases.
Since co-founding Weitz & Luxenberg in 1986, Mr. Weitz has been a pioneer in the highly specialized field of asbestos litigation. He is consistently recognized as one of its most prominent practitioners, making him an obvious choice to again co-chair this prestigious conference, the firm said. He has been named co-chair of the annual New York conference every year since 2011.
Mr. Weitz has dedicated the focus of his legal practice to personal injury cases involving mesothelioma and asbestos exposure. He is personally responsible for more than a half billion dollars in compensation for clients who had contracted asbestos-related diseases due to the negligence of others.
