Weitz & Luxenberg has been recognized by the U.S. News & World Report and the peer-review publication Best Lawyers as the national Law Firm of the Year in the category of Mass Tort Litigation/Class Actions – Plaintiffs. The distinction was given as part of the U.S. News – Best Lawyers “Best Law Firms Rankings,” which also gave Weitz & Luxenberg several regional honors.

Regional Honors in New York and New Jersey
U.S. News – Best Lawyers rankings are based on a rigorous evaluation process that includes peer review from leading attorneys in a particular field, and a collection of client and lawyer evaluations. Clients are asked to provide feedback on firm practice groups addressing expertise, responsiveness, cost-effectiveness, civility and whether they would refer another client to the firm. Lawyers are also asked to provide feedback on these areas, as well as whether they would refer a matter to a firm and whether they consider a firm a worthy competitor.
Based on this criteria, Weitz & Luxenberg not only received the Law Firm of the Year honors, but was also recognized in the same category as a Tier 1 firm in the New York and New Jersey metropolitan areas. It was also named as a New York Metropolitan Tier 1 firm in the category of Personal Injury Litigation – Plaintiffs.
Second Major Honor for Firm in Last Two Months

This recognition by U.S. News – Best Lawyers comes just weeks after Super Lawyers magazine recognized 17 Weitz & Luxenberg attorneys as exceptional NYC Metro lawyers, with two attorneys receiving the distinction for the tenth time.
