I love the work I do — helping people who were seriously harmed by asbestos exposure. Our clients entrusted their well-being to companies and professions that ultimately lead to such severe health consequences. At Weitz & Luxenberg, I know I am making a difference in the lives of these clients and their families.”
Allison Raijman is an associate attorney at Weitz & Luxenberg. She joined our Asbestos Bankruptcy Department in May of 2023. She works alongside attorney colleagues in managing and reviewing client’s bankruptcy trust claims.
Ms. Raijman reviews our client’s medical and asbestos exposure documentation. She handles bankruptcy trust claims from start to finish, verifying details and ensuring all information is accurate and complete.
“I really enjoy what I’m doing. Being detail oriented and reviewing complex documents for accuracy are a big part of the work we do in this department. But most important, I know the claims I am processing will help our clients receive the monetary compensation they deserve,” Ms. Raijman explains.
Previous Legal Experience at W&L
Prior to joining Weitz & Luxenberg full time as an attorney, Ms. Raijman interned at the firm for two summers during law school: summer of 2019 and the summer of 2018.
“I loved my experiences at Weitz & Luxenberg those two summers. Being exposed to both the environmental department and asbestos bankruptcy departments made me excited to graduate and become part of the legal profession,” Ms. Raijman says.
During the summer of 2019, Ms. Raijman worked in our environmental department where she assisted us in our Roundup litigation. She analyzed and researched statutes and regulations. She also organized and prepared client intake forms and interviewed clients to prepare draft summaries of their statements about exposure to Roundup.
During the summer of 2018, Ms. Raijman worked in our firm’s Bankruptcy Asbestos Department. She researched asbestos exposure and drafted legal documents for our pending litigations. She also organized and reviewed client intake files. Ms. Raijman enjoyed this work so much, she decided to join the team full time as an attorney, when she was offered a position.
